This comprehensive professional training is designed to equip mental health professionals, clinicians, educators, and other related professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively assess adults for ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and Autism.

Recognizing the unique challenges and considerations that arise when assessing adults, this training focuses on providing practical tools and evidence-based approaches for accurate diagnosis and evaluation.

Part 1 Objectives

In this course, you will:

Understanding Adult ADHD and Autism: Participants
will gain an in-depth understanding of the clinical features, symptomatology, and neuro-developmental aspects of adult ADHD and autism.

Co-Morbidity: Participants will learn about the various co-morbid features also present in those with adult ADHD and autism including aspects of depression, anxiety, bipolar, OCD, and trauma.

Part 2 Objectives

Cultural Considerations: This training emphasizes the importance of cultural competence in the assessment process. Participants will examine how cultural factors influence symptoms' expression, care access, and diagnostic techniques.

Diagnostic Assessment Tools: Participants will learn about various assessment tools and measures "designed" to evaluate adult ADHD and autism, such as standardized questionnaires, rating scales, behavioral observations, and clinical interviews.

By the end of part 2 of this professional training, participants will have acquired a comprehensive understanding of the assessment process for adult ADHD and autism. Participants will leave part 2 with a copy of the comprehensive clinical assessment to utilize in their own work.

Lindley is dedicated to embracing neurodiversity and promoting inclusivity. She specializes in adult ADHD and autism and enjoys training other practitioners on neuro-affirming care.

She is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Qualified Supervisor (QS), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Lindley has taught multiple courses for counselor education programs across NC. She is the president/owner of C&C Betterworks, PA, providing various services as a clinical counselor, coach, and supervisor.

She is a part of the queer community, is super neuro-spicy with the ADHD, and is currently obsessed with trying to propagate “non-beginner” indoor plants.
